Help Harley Survive Urgent Medical Financial Crisis

UPDATE: we have a grace period of January 13th, we were able to make a large payment thanks to everyone's donations! As long as we make payments in portions we are able to extend this until everything is finally in motion with financial aid and disability as well as Dan's caretaking going through, in the meantime we are still accepting and needing donations towards that because we are still gathering funds to make payments and sustain a bare minimum healthy environment for food and supplements and treatment, so anything helps along the way as we finally get through all of the paperwork and processing that's required to finish this fight! We have a disability attorney and a social worker now to aid us in the process and make sure that things are expedited and all of the forms are filled out correctly regarding my condition and situation. It means so much to see the community that we love come together and hold us in our time of need, words fail and we would not be here or okay without the love and support of all of you. Big shout out to Rose Entertainment for boosting the cause and supporting us, we can't thank you enough!

Between countless doctor's appointments, deep contrast MRIs, more and more diagnosis coming up in comorbidity, struggling with finances and getting denied disability and financial aid and relief with Harley's first application...then the government setbacks from the "big beautiful bill" that Trump passed on July 4th staggering benefits and healthcare for 40 million Americans, everything has been staggered especially because of the just NIGHTMARE of a living situation that we just had to exit a couple of months ago that left us in searing financial debt, due to abusive landlords who DID NOT remediate toxic mold in the home that we were paying for - alongside the long term toxic black mold exposure, permanently damaging my health and already very weak immune system which quickly exacerbated my autoimmune diseases and sped up my now terminal stage 4 cancer diagnosis...

They forced us out, violently harassed us, they did not address things according to law and then they backed us into a corner using scare tactics, refused us to add new tenants once previous roommates moved out until it was just Dan and I; knowing that he was the sole income paying for a nearly $3,000 household while I was disabled and had no income as I was waiting for support having been diagnosed with stage four metastatic ovarian cancer. They refused our rent two months in a row when we tried to literally hand them rent in full - and on the second month, both months rent as a second try, Hail Mary show of good faith only to still refuse our payment...

Ultimately they were using that as leverage to say that we were not paying our rent so that they could then subpoena us for not paying rent and officially force us out of our ADA home. They tried to put in the fine print that we could not counter sue them for the lack of toxic mold remediation...which the judge made them redact - but all of that affected my health, Dan's health and our finances rapidly in the two and a half years that we lived there. It brought to the surface all of my autoimmune disease which made the underlying unknown at the time ovarian cancer grow at a rapid pace, and now Harley's health is declining faster, and we have no ground to stand on. We poured all of our labor and earnings and savings into not only having to carry the full rent, but also personal labor, cleaning and treatments for the house, as well as mold testing from Mold Inspection Sciences, which the landlords did not even care about and acted as if we were the villains for telling them about the problems the previous tenants had caused and bringing that to their attention so that they could save the home. We now have no finances or ground to stand on, we are now late on our rent at our new place only because of the delay in benefits with the delays that happened, we are living off our food stamps and food banks, and day-to-day trying to earn as much money as we can to literally survive and make enough to have this things that we need to survive as far as nutrients, meds and rides to and from appointments.

It is all so much between doing all of these things and keeping up with everything at home, we cannot believe the weight that has been on our shoulders. One should not have to be this strong for this long and no one should have to face this much fight for their lives especially when we have a huge lawsuit against our previous landlords; but we have not had the time to catch our breath and start the legal battle due to these set backs. Barely having food in the fridge and now due to the delay with that UGLY bill passing we're late on our rent when we were previously going to be secure with back pay and government support, all of this being delayed due to a massive change in America that affects the people who need it most, health care, disability, low income, ECT ECT...

We have been putting two feet forward and still keep getting put three steps behind somehow.

We just wish things were easier for us and this is also scary. We have been fighting so hard, no matter how far we go no matter how hard we fight... My heart is aching my soul is breaking, starting to lose that hope that keeps me going forward and honestly I just needed to shout this out into the ethers in case there's any way that anybody can help us right now, because we are so tired and we are SO CLOSE to having our support come shortly... but if we lose this place, we cannot achieve that. Harley, Dan and their cat Haze will not have a home front, and will not be able to keep fighting or go to doctor's appointments without a roof over our heads. We're in the worst possible circumstances, and all of this has literally upended our lives and I just cannot wait to see a better day than today.

Can a girl get a break? I'm only 31. This is just too much.

Please... Anything helps.

The deadline for us to pay is Dec 2nd or we will be completely out of any sense of stability. We have disability attorneys and a social worker, we just need to make it through this final push so we don't end up with nowhere to go.

I want to live.
