My name is Zee. My husband Hardy has spent his life helping people especially those who had no where else to turn. Today he is fighting for his life far from home and we are desperately in need of help. Just to show you what kind of person he is, I remember one extremely cold winter day when we saw a homeless man without a coat shivering uncontrollably. My husband took off his long, warm wool coat and gave it to the man. I said “honey how are you going to stay warm?” He laughed it off and ran for the car.

Another person my husband helped was a homeless man who hung out around our Post Office. Each time we went there my husband blessed him with food or money. Then one day we noticed that the man disappeared. Two months later a well dressed, clean shaven man approached our car at the Post Office and asked if we remembered him. We looked at each other puzzled as neither one of us knew who he was. Then he proceeded to tell my husband that he was the person my husband blessed. He said his life has changed as he now has a job and his own apartment.

These are just a couple of examples of the kind of person my husband is. He spent so much of his life helping others including building wells in Kenya so the people could have clean water. My husband is very proud and seeing him in this situation breaks my heart. He is a fighter and has conquered prostate cancer and stage four Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma in the past.

We have been looking into International Health Insurance when this crisis suddenly happened. We are traveling in Asia. As a senior, he aged out of the plans we researched. He is not out of the woods yet and his hospital bill increases every day. He had four surgeries this past week alone and there is another scheduled for March 14.
