Hi, friends and family, I’m Elisa Magagna. I am writing to ask for help to make my youngest daughter's biggest dream come true.
For as long as I can remember, Indiana (Indy) has dreamed of seeing the world. While other kids asked for toys, Indy talked about travel and her desire to learn new languages. But she didn’t just dream about it—she got to work.
Six years ago, Indy started teaching herself Italian. She has studied on and off through Pimsleur for years, driven by a goal to one day immerse herself in the Italian culture. She took extra classes during the school year and pushed through summer band camps (and credits!), allowing her to graduate an entire year early specifically so she could take this opportunity to qualify for a foreign exchange program.
We are so proud to announce that she has been selected! Through one organization, she's already been awarded a $1,500 scholarship based on merit, but the cost of exchange programs is still incredibly high!
~Why We Need Your Help~
As many of you know, our family has faced significant health challenges over the last few years. While we are doing everything we can, we simply cannot cover the full cost alone.
***Indy isn't waiting for a handout***
She is working a job at Taco Time to save every penny she can. She is even running her own small business (www.myfireflyfashion.com), crocheting and selling handmade scarves, purses, and home decor to fund this trip.
She has the grit, the grades, and the heart. She just needs a financial bridge to get her there. Please help us send this kind, hardworking young woman on the adventure she has earned.
Indy is kind, grateful, and incredibly driven.
We all have the chance to change a young girl's life forever. I'm so excited to see whatever the future will hold.
Thank you for everything,
An Appreciative Mama
