Hello, Friends, we are fundraising for the wonderful woman who cleans both our houses, Margarita, and her family: her husband and two teens who all assist her in her business. Margarita is kind and hard-working and has recently endured an awful series of events that have devastated her family financially, including a major car accident, a cancer diagnosis, and severe damage to their truck from a fallen tree branch.

Margarita and her family live simply and lack resources on which to draw, so we are hoping our community will find it in their hearts to help this family get back on their feet. They will use the funds raised to buy a good used vehicle, repair their old truck, and defray some of Margarita's medical bills.

Following is her story:

December 22nd should have been a day like every other: work, school for kids, doctor’s appointment, and then home to care for our little farm, but it didn't go as planned. It was a rainy day, and I was on my way to the doctor when a tire blew out, causing my car to suddenly spin out of control and careen down a small ravine, finally crashing between two trees.

I hit my head and chest very hard on the steering wheel, which has created some serious health issues and significantly reduced my ability to work.

After the accident, I wasn't healing well and had an MRI done which produced a surprise no one expected. It showed I have ovarian cancer! My future holds some tough times, especially without a reliable car, which we desperately need to get to work and medical treatments.

It is all pretty overwhelming, but we are blessed that our friends have set up this GoFundMe account to help us out.
