Help Happy Tails Philippines save more stray dogs and cats

Donation protected
Hi everyone. For those of you who already know me, you know that I try and help animals in need whenever I can. Each time my spouse and I travel to the Philippines, we carry dog and cat food with us and stop to feed the strays we find. If you've ever traveled to a 3rd world country, you already know that, unfortunately, there are hundreds of stray dogs and cats trying to survive on a daily, not knowing when they'll be able to eat again. It's impossible to save them all. As much as we love visiting the Philippines, it's also very heartbreaking to see the plight of these animals. Unlike the US, rescue resouces there are limited, so these folks can only do so much even if they try and rescue. On our recent trip there this past May, we have been feeding these stray dogs (and a cat) that were hanging out by the property we were staying in, in Cebu City which was our home base when we weren't traveling to the islands. One of the dogs was a very pregnant mama, and one had a limp which looked like an old injury. Needless to say, we fed them until we had to travel back to the States. I was fortunately able to contact a local rescue whom I told about these dogs, Happy Tails Philippines. They house close to 200 dogs already in their little sanctuary by the beach, and got these animals spayed/neutered and any medical treatment they needed. They also continue to provide food to stray dogs and cats around the city, but unfortunately with limited resources, they just can't rescue any more animals or able to provide food on a regular as they still have to care for their resident animals. The founder, Hazel Aguisanda was kind enough to feed the pups we were feeding in the city and check on mama for me (who has since given birth!). I have donated to her organization to get the pups fed whenever they can. She has instructed a team member to commute about an hour each night, bringing food and water for these pups that have stayed in the same location we were at. I understand this may not be sustainable as they have vet bills to pay and hundreds of dogs/cats to feed so I'm hoping this fundraiser will help them continue to save or help these animals. Hazel alone has 83 dogs and 40 cats in her home and still runs a rescue housing all the 200 resident dogs. Your donation will go a long way, especially for a rescue in the Philippines. Hazel does give me updates (videos and photos) on the pups she still feeds for us and she let me know she's going to check on the puppies that mama just gave birth to, as well as get our limpy boy checked by her vet. These dogs and puppies are currently living in the streets, but your donation will help provide food, water and help with the ongoing expenses that Happy Tails continues to incur, trying to save them all. Every penny will go directly to the founder Hazel, and I'll provide proof of funds going to her as I currently donate to their organization. Thank you for your kindness and compassion.
