Help Happy Camper Pizza after a devastating fire

Today i received the most heartbreaking phone call from Sonia at the amazing Happy Camper pizza. There was a major fire at their warehouse last night and all their trucks are burnt and the warehouse is now structurally unsound.

Sonia & Remi with Happy Camper pizza created one of the most unique and special offerings in the food truck world. We ourselves run Pizza Wagon so are fellow pizza food truckers. We both started our pizza journey around the same time and although are technically competing for the same business we have always supported each other.

Since March 2020 the food truck and events industry has been devastated by covid. We are just now getting back on our feet and to some sort of normality. To have this happen in the middle of the wedding season is beyond comprehension. Through out covid they have refunded people well over $100,000 and lost in jobs much much more.

It’s a family run business like ours, they have 3 beautiful children to take care of and now in the busiest month of the year and with Christmas coming up they are faced with having to cancel a whole seasons worth of bookings and searching through the rubble to work out what, if anything can be restored. These trucks are original, vintage and built and made with love. You can’t just go and buy another one.

They have one truck that wasn’t at the warehouse still needing about $80,000 worth of work to get it on the road. If we can help them towards that goal so they can at least keep some events that would be incredible. If we can raise more to support this wonderful family who also gave back and supported their local community throughout covid that would be even better.
