Help Hao with his mom's medical emergency

Dear friends and colleagues,
Many of you know and have worked with our dear friend and co-worker Hao Wu. Hao had a tragic family accident with his mother just before Mother's day. His mom suffered a traumatic brain contusion through a serious fall and was rushed to the ER for an 8+ hour surgery at Xinhua Hospital in Shanghai due to a shattered occipital part of the cranium and internal hemorrhaging. She is still unfortunately unconscious in the ICU after surgery.
Unfortunately, the insurance for healthcare is fairly basic in China and so Hao has been burdened by the hospital bill which is now over 152,000 RMB ($23,557.86) already out of pocket and is anticipated to increase to over 1M RMB ($154,985.90). I'm asking for your kind assistance and charity as colleagues/friends and passing around the "hat" to help our colleague out in his time of need and would appreciate any donation and assistance, since we checked and our company policy currently only covers employees but not family members in these type of situations.
