As many of you know my father and Donna's husband Hans has been dealing with some health issues. On Feb 16th he suffered a stroke and in subsequent tests revealed that he needed an open heart bypass surgery to repair 3 blockages. On Feb 24th he underwent the surgery and seemed to be doing Ok. He was released from the hospital a week later on March 4th. He seemed to be doing really well his first few days at home. On Sat morning March 8th he suffered another stroke and from complications of the stroke he started to have severe seizures. After multiple tests the first few days they had no answers as to what was causing the seizures and on Tues March 11th he was put into a medically induced coma and needed the help of a feeding tube and ventilator. On Fri March 14th after multiple other tests my mom was informed that they had no answers and that the continuing seizures have caused brain damage and that she would have to make the decision as to pulling the life saving measures and let them offer comfort care until he passes. So today after 46 years of marriage she had to make the heart breaking decision to have them removed. Unfortunately my father had no life insurance policies and after raising 5 kids together and 4 grandchildren they have no money saved for emergencies like this. So I'm asking if anyone could please help in our time of need to make things a little less hard and stressful as we lose our Husband, Father, Grandpa and friend. So if anyone can please find it in your heart to help the money raised will go towards paying for Hans' cremation and anymore will help to make things a little easier while she starts her life without him.
