Hi, my name is Ging Soria and I’m creating this fund raiser for my niece Klara Johanne . We call her Hannah. She is 17 yrs old and she lives with her parents and 2 younger siblings in Cebu , Philippines. She was born with congenital atrioventricular septal defect. Her condition makes her activities limited because, she becomes short of breath with exertion.

In June , 2019, she had open heart surgery for repair of the septal defect. After surgery, her pulmonary arterial pressure is still elevated and she is placed on medications. Currently, her condition is deteriorating. She has Heart Failure, Class IV, Severe Mitral and Tricuspid Regurgitation . She needs another open heart surgery for double heart valve replacement. The surgery and hospitalization will cost approximately $20,000.00 not including medications.

Inspite of her health struggles, Hannah was able to go to school and finished 10th grade. Hannah likes drawing, painting, reading novels and baking . Currently , she can only do minimal activity because she becomes very short of breath with exertion. She could not enjoy the activities that healthy teenagers do. She is hopeful that with a successful surgery, she will be able to continue her education and do normal activities .She dreams of becoming a pediatric cardiologist so she can help children who has similar health conditions that she has.
