Help Hannah's Family Bring Champ Home
Donation protected

Hi all! My name is Hannah. My family is in desperate need currently for numerous vet bills to be payed in order to bring our mighty survivor pup home when he’s ready & able. This puppy has been the bandaid over a bullet hole for my small children who lost their father just 10 months ago to a fatal accident. Bringing champ home is crucial for their mental and emotional sanity. Backstory: On Saturday, July 27, 2024, my 56 year old disabled mother stepped out side of her garage with our 3 dogs (1 chihuahua, 2 yorkies) on leashes to take them for a walk/potty break. Before making it down the driveway, a neighbors unleashed, known aggressive large breed dog came over to the driveway and began attacking. The attack was more of a massacre. Of the 3 dogs, it was originally thought 2 had passed away. One survived. However, the Plymouth Vet was able to revive our sweet champ boy & keep him alive. The chihuahua was mauled to death. Her face was torn apart, nose gone, her chest was torn open so large an entire adult fist could fit through the wound. She suffered severely. Champ has many open & infected wounds that they are unable to close just yet. He has fractured vertebraes in the cervical & a neurologist is watching him to make sure he will regain mobility down the road. Champ is currently being held at the Plymouth Vet. He is on multiple pain medications, an antibiotic infusion, and requires around the clock care until he makes a full recovery. The Plymouth police are involved in this case & the owner of the attacking dog is legally being held responsible for the vet bills. Although, It is very unlikely that the payments will ever come. The vet made it clear today (7/29/24) that WHEN champ is ready to come home, the bill will have to be payed in full before he can leave their facility. This is so cruel and so unfair in so many ways. Champ is traumatized. My kids are traumatized. My mother, who was bit several times & required medical attention & hand surgery down the road, is also traumatized. She gave it her all to pry the jaws of the aggressor off of her babies & the outcome is still just devastating. I am asking the public now for help as all lines of potential care credit have been denied. We are begging you. Please help bring champs boy home when he’s ready. He has fought so hard the last 3 days. Putting him down should not be his last option due to money. He is a warrior & determined to make a full recovery. Please donate here, or even if you’re more comfortable, just call the Plymouth Vet & you can donate directly to the vet. The dog name on file is “Champ Landrie”
Thank you so much to those of with compassionate hearts who are willing to help us in any way. I appreciate each and every one of you.
