Help Hannah's Education Dream

Hi, my name is Hannah and I am raising money to be able to pursue my dream of studying abroad. Recently, I found one of my passions, which is languages and traveling to experience new places and their culture. More specifically, I found the culture behind Spanish. With my love for travel and my love for Spanish, I looked for study abroad programs. And so, last year I gathered all of my research and finally decided on one program, the ‘Council On International Educational Exchange,’ otherwise known as CIEE. CIEE is a program for many people, including teachers, college students, and high school students. Next year I have to prepare for the ACT and apply for colleges. Senior year, I have to continue with my college decisions. As well, many colleges, offer a single semester for a whopping price of ~$26,000. Hence why, ideally, the summer of my tenth-grade year, which is this year, would be the best for me and my family. As a result of this information, this year in January, I applied for first-round admission, and for the second session in Barcelona, Spain. After a long three months of waiting, and CIEE pushing back on time, they finally gave me my decision, and thankfully, I got accepted. Nonetheless, because we do not earn below minimum wage, I was not granted financial aid… I did however receive $635 for academic merit, which compared to the gross cost, is nothing. I am very grateful for the money I received, but I still need help raising quite a bit. With the amount of time they gave, because they responded so late, I only have 2 months to raise this money. So I am working on babysitting arrangements, and possibly pet-sitting. My mom is willing to provide the $5,000 deposit to start me off, so now I need to raise the remaining $5,000.
