I am currently pursuing a Master’s of Higher Education at Geneva College, driven by a deep love for working with students and fostering transformative learning experiences. I have the unique opportunity to travel to Brazil in March 2026 with my professors and fellow students. This journey will take us through Rio de Janeiro, São Paulo, and Piracicaba, where we’ll explore Brazil’s rich culture, history, and educational systems.

During my undergraduate studies, I minored in Spanish and TESOL, which gave me a strong foundation in understanding a diversity of cultures and the importance of global perspectives. These experiences sparked my desire to learn even more about how education works across the world. This trip is not just about seeing new places—it’s about engaging with Brazilian university students and professors, visiting important cultural sites, experiencing daily life in a new context, and connecting more deeply with the global body of Christ, learning how faith and education intersect in different cultures. I am especially looking forward to learning directly from those who live and work in Brazilian higher education, and to building relationships that will broaden my understanding of education around the world.

I’m excited to return with new perspectives that will help me better connect with and support the students I have the privilege of working with.
