Hi everyone,
I’m starting this fundraiser to help cover the costs of a knee surgery and the recovery that comes with it, including physiotherapy, travel, and medical expenses.
For most of my life, I’ve struggled with a condition where a tendon in my knee doesn’t properly hold my kneecap in place, causing my kneecap to dislocate. When it happens, it’s extremely painful and causes swelling that can take time to recover from. Standing for long periods has become difficult, and living with the constant fear of another dislocation has affected my daily life for years.
One of the hardest parts has been having to stop doing karate, something that has meant so much to me. I’ve had to put it on hold until I can finally get the surgery I need. It’s been heartbreaking to step away from something I love because of a condition I can’t control.
Living in Zimbabwe also makes this journey more difficult. Access to specialised medical care, physiotherapy, and recovery support is limited and expensive, and the costs surrounding treatment add up quickly.
I’m hopeful that this surgery will give me the chance to live more comfortably, regain stability in my knee, and eventually return to the activities I love without fear of injury or pain. Karate has always meant more to me than just sport, and one day I hope to give back by teaching young kids, helping them build confidence and learn how to defend themselves.
Any donation, no matter the amount, would mean so much to me and help bring me one step closer to getting the treatment and recovery support I need. Even sharing this fundraiser would make a huge difference.
Thank you so much for taking the time to read my story and for any support you can give.
