My name is Hannah Jugar, and I'm a collegiate golfer from Chula Vista, CA, with a dream of competing at the highest level of the sport. My collegiate golf career is different from most. I was captain of the University of Redlands women's golf team, where I earned my Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science and Spatial Studies minor and researched climate adaptations for golf course managers in Southern California. After my undergraduate degree, I worked as an Ecologist and GIS Analyst in San Diego, CA. I felt that my journey with competitive golf was not over and decided to use my last year of NCAA eligibility to play for the Long Beach State Women’s Golf Team while earning my Master's degree in Geographic Information Science (GIS). My next step is to pursue golf professionally, competing in state opens, ANNIKA Women's All Pro Tour events, and the LPGA Qualifying Series.

Competing at this level comes with significant expenses, including:
  • Tournament entry fees
  • Flights and hotel accommodations
  • Memberships to access and practice at golf courses
  • Caddy costs
  • Essential gear (such as shoes, bags, and golf balls)
  • Gas
  • Food

Beyond my own game, one of my core goals as a professional golfer is to advocate for making the golf industry more sustainable and accessible. I’ve combined my passion for golf and environmental science by dedicating my undergraduate and post-graduate work to encourage the coexistence of golf and nature. The closure of my childhood golf course, Salt Creek Golf Club, has been a motivator for me to use my platform to ensure golf courses are prepared to withstand climate events, like increased annual temperatures and drought severity. I've developed climate-adapted and eco-driven golf course designs, published sustainability articles for PGA Magazine and Golf Range Magazine, and served as an EcoAthletes Champion for LBSU in the Collegiate Cup, where athletes and community members logged fitness activity to restore coral reefs. Eventually, I'd like to use my environmental, GIS, and professional golf experience to design and eco-renovate golf courses that will be sustained for decades through the impacts of climate change.

I'm reaching out to you, my friends, family, community, and supporters, to ask for your help in making my pro golf career a reality. From hitting golf balls in my grandparents’ yard to playing junior golf to running junior tournaments, working in ProShops, collegiate golf, and now starting my professional golf career, I am incredibly grateful for the opportunities opened and meaningful relationships established. However, I cannot fulfill my dream of the LPGA without your support. Your generosity will help cover expenses, but also serve as a reminder that I'm not alone on this journey and mission for the next generation of golfers. Thank you for supporting my professional golf career and my mission for a more inclusive, accessible, and sustainable future in golf.
