She has three grown kids and they are ALL kind, intelligent, hardworking humans that attests to her resilience and love as a single mother.

*Help Hannah Heal from ECT-Induced Brain Injury*

Hi everyone,

My name is Cameron, and I’m reaching out on behalf of my wonderful mom, Hannah. She is the strongest, most loving person I know, and my siblings and I wouldn’t be where we are without her!

In 2020, Hannah made the brave decision to undergo Electroconvulsive Therapy (ECT) in hopes of finding relief from persistent depression. We were told it was a safe and effective treatment. But instead of healing, ECT left her with severe, long-term brain damage that has dramatically changed the course of her life.

Since the treatments, Hannah has experienced profound memory loss. She often struggles to remember conversations, events, and even people she’s known for years. Tasks that once came naturally to her, like cooking, running errands, and managing bills, have become confusing, frustrating, and unmanageable. Where she was once independent, she now requires daily assistance and cannot live on her own.

It’s been challenging to watch my mom, who was once so capable, vibrant, and loving towards others, lose the ability to care for herself and navigate the world as she once did. Her confidence has eroded, and each day brings new cognitive challenges that strip away more of the life she deserves to be living.

We’ve tried everything we can within our means, but Hannah needs specialized neurological care that we are unable to afford on our own. We are raising funds to get her evaluated and treated by a team of experts who understand brain injuries caused by ECT and can offer a pathway forward — toward healing, stability, and hope.
