First and foremost, I would like to thank those of you who have been so supportive as I have learned to navigate my life after the abuse I had endured. I am a survivor of a severe Domestic Violence relationship back in 2021. July 3rd, 2021 my abuser had beat me to the point I had a broken lower left orbital, a broken nose and a traumatic brain injury as well as several other lifelong health issues that I am continuing to learn to navigate through. I have gone through 2 facial reconstructive surgeries and this one will be my 3rd to completely reconstruct my nose as I have lost more than 60% of my ability to breath. The inability to breath as well as the effects of these injuries to my mental and physical health has been very tough on me. With the way the system works as well as how much insurance can cover, I am left with having to pay for medical expenses out of pocket. Through my healing journey, I have always tried to take care of things on my own as to not inconvenience anyone, but at this time I have exhausted all of my funds and I could really use any help I can get so that I can receive this surgery and continue healing as easiest as possible. I wish more than anything that this situation did not happen to me, but I use my pain as strength to stand up and raise my voice for those who have been taken from us by the hands of those who were supposed to love and protect us.
