My name is Hannah, and I am currently working as a private Home Health Aide, caring for a 94-year-old geriatric patient. While I am grateful for the opportunity to help others every day, my salary simply isn't enough to afford the expensive tuition that comes with attending an Ivy League school like Columbia University. Living in New York is also not cheap, and the reality of paying for such a prestigious education is a real struggle for me.


When I learned that I was accepted to Columbia University School of Nursing, I was overjoyed. Becoming a nurse has always been my dream, and this acceptance is a huge step toward making that dream a reality. However, the financial burden of tuition, school fees, and supplies is overwhelming. I am committed to working part-time to cover my daily living expenses, but I need help to cover all the costs associated with my education at Columbia.


First and foremost, I'd like to thank the Lord for the opportunity to attend Columbia University. I am also deeply grateful to supporters, friends, and family for standing by me on this journey. With the knowledge and wisdom I will gain from Columbia's School of Nursing, I promise to dedicate my vocation to spreading goodness and giving back to those in need, just as you have helped me.
