Going through this situation is both emotionally and financially overwhelming and may be drawn out over months. Pursuing court protection comes with substantial expenses, including legal consultations, document preparation, time away from work, as well as significant upfront retainers and ongoing legal fees. Accessing legal support has been challenging, especially in a small town where conflicts of interest can limit options. The opposing party has legal counsel and greater resources, making it even more important that Hannah is able to access fair legal representation. There is the possibility that this situation may involve additional legal proceedings beyond the current court process.

Hannah has limited family support at this time and has managed much of this on her own, which makes community support especially meaningful. This is not a situation anyone plans for, and circumstances surrounding this situation have resulted in other substantial financial losses beyond legal fees.
