Hi All-- Late Friday night, as I walked our pup HannaBelle, we were both victims of an unprovoked attack. I've had two previous "run-ins" with the guy. He started it off with verbal harassment. I asked him to stop, and he made like he was moving on, but as he passed he suddenly and violently kicked HannaBelle.

The attacker was arrested.

The extent of her injuries has required an extended stay in the canine ICU. She has no fractures, but the severity of the trauma caused by the kick resulted in internal bleeding which has required blood transfusions, constant monitoring, etc.

Without this level of care, her chances of surviving this would be slim to none.

As of this morning (Sunday 4/6/24) her markers are heading in the right direction, but the improvements are happening slowly. The GREAT news is the vet believes HB will recover.

Although we've always set aside $ for her veterinary needs, these circumstances are unexpectedly extreme, and we could use some help.
