Hank is my newest foster, a sweet Frenchie who came to me just three weeks ago. At not quite two years old, he has already endured so much—chronic, untreated ear infections have left his ear canals filled with tumors, making them impossible to clean without surgery. Every day, Hank struggles with itchy, stinky ears, but you’d never know it from his joyful spirit. He’s friendly to everyone he meets, both people and animals, and just wants a lap to snuggle on and someone to love him.
Since Hank arrived, my husband and I have been working closely with our vet to give him the best care possible. We’re treating his ears with special oil, giving him allergy shots and probiotics, and we’ve already battled through a round of antibiotics and even kennel cough (my whole house caught it, but we survived!). Hank also has chronic IBS from his lack of care and the constant battle with bacteria in his ears. His ear canals are so damaged that nothing can fully come out—he desperately needs TECA surgery and a CT scan to finally be pain-free and ready for a forever family.
We’re raising money through football pools and hope to cover part of the cost, but the surgery and care are very expensive. We are reaching out for help to cover the rest. If you have a few extra dollars, can share Hank’s story, or know a veterinarian in the South Jersey area who might be able to help, it would mean the world to us. I foster through Gone Rogue Girls Rescue, a 100% foster-based group, and we’re doing everything we can to save as many good dogs as possible. Helping Hank will give him the life he deserves—and let us help even more dogs in need. Thank you so much for your kindness and support.
