Hello my friends, I am starting this GoFundMe to help support one of my closest friends, Hank, in his time of need. His father, Lawrence, also fondly known as Pappy Bing, has passed.

Hank has been one of my best friends for many many years. We’ve been roommates, co-workers, and partners in crime for a decade (he is the silent, MUCH STRONGER half of my Megatron. If you met me voicing the robot, you met Hank, too). If you know Hank, you know he’s the type of person who would drop anything to help a friend in need or even a stranger if he saw them struggling. This year though has been hard on him both financially and emotionally with his father.

Hank is Pappy Bing’s only son, they have been each others rocks since day one, just the two of them against the world. From being his home schooling teacher, his dance class chauffeur, Disneyland buddy, and his spaghetti western watching best friend. Pappy spent his years with Hank being the light of his life.

Unfortunately a few years ago he suffered a stroke, along with a dementia diagnosis, which devastated Hank not only emotionally, but financially. His strong-tough-Wyoming bread-quick witted father was deteriorating before his eyes. Hank was only 26 years old when he had to put his father in assisted living. With zero support from any other family members, Hank has spent the past 7 years navigating the CA healthcare system to provide his father with adequate care, all while attempting to sort out his unpaid finances since his father had no will. He took care of his father, as a son should, in any and all ways that he could. Needless to say, this is nothing a twenty-something should ever have to deal with it, and the past years have taken a heavy toll on my friend.

On November 9th 2024, Lawrence Bing Starr passed away peacefully in hospice care, leaving behind his loving son, Hank Starr.

Today, I am asking you wonderful people to support my dear friend in any way that you can. Hank put his mid-twenties & early 30's on hold to care for his father, and in the end, has nothing but debt to show for it. If you know Hank, he is ALWAYS down to lend a helping hand to literally anyone in need, even if they are an acquaintance at best (seriously, this guy should be in the Guinness book of world records for helping strangers move). Now, this strong, happy-go-lucky golden retriever of a man needs our help. Anything you can give to help him start his new life would be appreciated. Thank you.
