A few weeks ago, I spotted a German Shepherd wandering the side of the road - tired, thin, and scared. It took two hours to earn his trust, but at last he let me get close enough to bring him safely home.

The workers at a nearby warehouse told me they’d seen him lingering there for weeks and had been leaving food out but couldn’t catch him. They started calling him *Hank* and the name stuck.

Little did I know, bringing Hank home was just the beginning of his journey to recovery. Since then, Hank has needed extensive medical care: he has started treatment for heartworm, was neutered, and is being monitored for glaucoma in his left eye, which will eventually require surgery once he’s stronger.

My goal is to get Hank fully healed, healthy, and ready to find his forever home.

I’m so grateful for the love and encouragement Hank has received since coming into my life. With the support of friends, I created this fundraiser to help cover his medical bills and ongoing care while I foster him. All funds raised will go directly to Hank’s veterinary treatments, food, and recovery.
