If you know me, you know that Hank isn’t “just a dog.” He’s family. He’s my protector, my shadow, my comfort on hard days, and the happiest part of our home.
Recently, something terrifying happened. Hank was attacked by a groundhog. What started as a normal day quickly turned into a nightmare. The injuries to his eye were so severe that despite the veterinarian’s best efforts, Hank had to undergo emergency surgery to have his eye removed.
Watching him go through this has been heartbreaking. He has shown nothing but strength and resilience through the pain. Even after the trauma, he still wags his nub and wants to be close to me.
The total cost for his emergency care and surgery has come to $6,024. While I always try to go above and beyond for my pets without hesitation, this unexpected expense has put me in a very difficult financial position. I never imagined facing something like this so suddenly.
We are asking for help to cover:
• Emergency exam and stabilization
• Surgery to remove his eye
• Medications and pain management
• Follow-up appointments and recovery care
Every donation, no matter the size, helps more than you know. If you’re unable to donate, sharing Hank’s story would mean the world to me.
Thank you for helping give Hank the comfort, healing, and love he deserves.
