Hi everyone — I’m reaching out on behalf of my dear friend Camryn, because she’s going through something no pet parent ever wants to face. Her sweet dog Hank, a 4-year-old dachshund who is truly her whole world, was just diagnosed with IVDD (Intervertebral Disc Disease). It’s a painful and serious condition that can progress quickly without treatment.

Hank urgently needs an MRI, which alone costs around $5,500, and the recommended spinal surgery is estimated between $8,000–$10,000. These costs are overwhelming, especially as this all came on suddenly.

Hank is the kind of dog who loves everyone, the dog who curls up with you when you’re sad, follows you from room to room, and somehow always knows when you need comfort. Seeing him in pain has completely broken Camryn’s heart, and right now she’s just trying to do whatever she can to get him the care he needs.
