Hello, my name is Trudie and I have created this fundraiser to help my friend Hanin from Gaza. Hanin (35y) is currently living in a refugee camp in Khan Yunis and caring for her five children. Her children, Jawaher (14y), Ameera (12y), Nayef (6y), Basil (3y), and Reem (9m) have been deprived of their childhoods and basic needs for months due to the blockade. Jawaher, the oldest child, has an amputated arm and needs a prosthetic. Her brother, Nayef is in need of a Tympanostomy procedure to treat a fluid buildup in his ear, causing persistent hearing loss and a speech impediment. Ameera needs surgery for Strabismus to correct her misaligned eyes. Their family had not had access to any of the medical care they have needed for months, and have started experiencing more persistent, disabling symptoms in response. Now, with the ceasefire currently in effect, Hanin's main goal besides medical treatment and food for herself and her family is to save money to build a new home, and more urgently buy firewood and clothing for her children with winter approaching. If you can, please donate and spread Hanin's story so her and her children can have hope of long, happy lives.
