Hamsa came into my life at a time when I wasn’t feeling well myself. He was up for adoption at the time, until one day he adopted me as his mother. In September 2015, he came walking across the bed. He initially settled at the foot of the bed, close to my feet, before moving to rest in the crease of my knees. Until he settled down near my head. Animals have their own way of showing affection towards humans they want to be their parents. Hamsa's way of showing his affection was to lay beside me during the time I was feeling ill. This was his way of choosing me to be his mother.


Hamsa, a red-tailed Siamese, is now not feeling well and needs to be seen by the vet. He has had fleas, but they have been treated. Following the flea treatment, he started to feel unwell. I am feeling heartbroken to see my four-legged son in the condition he is in. I miss how energetic he was and how he would run and jump and play. Especially soccer. Getting Hamsa to the vet to get a full examination will be extremely costly. Before he receives a proper diagnosis and treatment for what is going on, he is losing weight, especially on his backside. I am doing everything, but the cost can be overwhelming.


If he was there for me, and he has adopted me as his mother, I must take the necessary steps in getting him, by taking him to the vet. So he can receive proper care.
