Help Hamish get to the World Championship in Dallas, Texas

Donation protected

Hi, My name is Hamish. I am 11 years old. I train and compete in the sport of Ninja Warrior. I have been training for 6 years and started competing in 2023.

I made it through to the Ultimate Ninja Athlete Association (UNAA) National Championship last year and came 3rd!

This qualified me to represent Australia at the World Championship (aka Worlds) in Dallas, Texas this year in July.

16 countries will compete at this Championship. I am SO proud to be one of the 130 plus athletes representing Australia.

What is Ninja Warrior?

Ninja Warrior combines obstacle course racing, gymnastics, rock climbing and martial arts. It is a sport that involves navigating obstacle courses of increasing difficulty to test strength, agility, concentration and endurance.

Ninja Warrior first started in Japan, called Sasuke, in 1997. American Ninja Warrior first aired in 2009, and continues to date.

Ninja Warrior is not a well known sport in Australia. The show Australian Ninja Warrior aired on Channel 9 for only 6 seasons.

Being such a small and unknown sport, there is very little to zero funding to help athletes progress, so the cost of equipments (obstacles), training, uniforms and competition registrations are covered by the athlete's family. The family also cover all costs of travel and accommodation.

I have been helping my parents with the costs by contributing my chores money, gift money, and even selling some of my toys and clothes. Last year for Christmas I asked for money towards the cost of getting to Worlds rather than presents.

I have raised about $400 so far.

My parents estimate it will cost about $5000.

I would so much appreciate any donations you can make to help get me to Worlds. I will also continue to make contributions.

I will keep training very hard and hope to make Australia proud of my efforts.
