My name is Hamed. Since the age of thirteen, I have been suffering from a complex and undiagnosed autoimmune disease that has profoundly disrupted my life. Over the past fifteen years, this disease has caused lasting and progressive damage to several vital organs, including my eyes, bladder, stomach, bones, and—most concerningly—my central nervous system.
The illness has already led to serious neurological complications, such as cerebral vasculitis and dysfunction of the sympathetic nervous system. According to my doctors, if left untreated, this disease could further spread to other critical organs, including my heart, and may ultimately become life-threatening.
Despite years of treatment in my home country, the nature of the disease remains unknown and uncontrollable. Countless unsuccessful and costly treatments have not only failed to halt its progression but have also exhausted our financial resources. Medical experts believe that specialized centers in countries such as Germany or the United Kingdom may offer the best chance for an accurate diagnosis and effective treatment. Unfortunately, the high costs of international travel and advanced medical care are far beyond what I or my family can afford.
For years, I have lived in the shadow of illness and constant pain. My childhood, adolescence, and much of my youth have been consumed by this battle. Yet, I still hold on to hope—hope for a future that may still be within reach, if I can access the care I so urgently need.
If you are reading this, I kindly ask for your compassion and support. Any contribution—no matter the size—could make a vital difference in helping me reach the treatment that may save my life and restore my future.
With sincere gratitude,
Hamed
