Help HAM family through this hard time

Hi my name is Madison Parker and I’m starting a fundraiser for the HAM family.

On Tuesday December 28th in the very early morning Kim Ham endured a large stroke on the right side of her brain. The stroke took up the whole front right side of her brain and partial of the back. This has left her with the inability to move the left side of her body. In the first 48 hours since her brain swelled so much that it was necessary to remove the full front right side of her skull to allow room to swell. Since then she suffered some bleeding and had to undergo another surgery to remove that blood. She is stable but is in critical condition. This is a life altering event. We can only focus one day at a time as so much is unknown. If we make it through this time, her recovery will be a very long and hard road filled with intensive in patient rehabilitation with speech, occupational, and physical therapist and then will require home health if and when able to come home. Her two children Andrew and Rachel are now in the difficult situation of having to make these hard decisions, take over her finances, and commute from out of town to Durham through out the whole week.
