Please support HTFC U13’s be warriors like Kate

Hi everyone my name is Gemma and I manage Halstead Town Under 13’s football team.

As you may know, Kate (Ellis’s mum) has recently found out that her cancer has returned and is currently undergoing intensive chemotherapy treatment. She’s a total warrior and is smashing it in true Kate style! But we wanted to acknowledge the huge personal challenge she’s going through by setting our football team their own challenge to raise funds and show their support to kate. The boys are aiming to complete a combination of sit up and push up every day during February and aim to have achieved 30,000+ reps between them all by the 28th.

Their aim is to raise enough money to be able to treat Kate and her family to a special day out or weekend away, so please please…dig deep, join in, cheer from the sidelines and sponsor the boys whatever you can! It would mean the absolute world to them knowing that their sporting challenge could help surprise the Saunders family to a well deserved and much needed break away while Kate faces her own challenges.

The boys will be keeping a log of their daily reps and we will be videoing them along the way to capture their success.
