My sweetest niece, Hallie, was just diagnosed with type 1 diabetes. She is the sweetest, most loving, and helpful 12-year-old you will ever meet.

Since her diagnosis, she has been diligently managing her blood sugar and figuring out the new balance of life. Insurance will not cover an insulin pump because they say it is not necessary. However, it would make Hallie’s life feel a little more normal and make managing her blood sugar easier.
