UPDATE: Hallie is receiving rapid care and she has started heavy chemo for the next month, she has been told there will be at least a 2 year process of hospital stays for further chemo followed by a year of maintenance. She is taking this day by day. Please continue to support her for this journey.
At just 21 years old, Hallie has been chasing her dreams and building a future and enjoying life surrounded by family and friends. She has spent her entire life in the softball community and still continues to play slow pitch on a competitive level. This week Hallie became extremely ill and went into the ER, she had a severe sore throat and nothing was helping. She got the worst possible diagnosis of leukemia and now is facing one of life's toughest battles.
This news has completely turned Hallie's world upside down. This ER visit led to a hospitalization for the next four weeks and then treatment of the unknown beyond that. Hallie is now beginning a long and difficult journey through chemotherapy, hospital stays, and endless medical appointments- all while trying to stay strong and positive.
The financial burden that lies ahead is something that she shouldn't have to worry about. Hallie worked a full time job and supported herself.
We're asking for your help to make sure Hallie can focus on healing, not how to pay for it. Every donation, no matter the size, will go directly toward:
- Medical treatments and hospital bills
- prescriptions and specialized care
- Support for Hallie and her family during this recovery
- Every Day needs
