Help Halle’s Family With Battle Against Leukemia
My sweet niece, Halle Jayde Green (6) was born April 27, 2014. She’s the little sister/best friend to her big brother Mattix and the one and only daughter to her doting parents Jimmy Green and Ciara McClellan. She absolutely loves gymnastics. For Christmas, she got a bunkbed w/ a foldout gym mat that’s underneath that she absolutely loves! She has a larger than life personality and an even bigger heart, always putting others first! Her teachers have said they’d love it if they could have 30 Halles’ in class everyday! She loves singing. Her #1 fave song is “Someone You Loved“ - by Lewis Capaldi!
Yesterday, our precious Halle was diagnosed with Leukemia. After an ambulance ride to Springfield, St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital flew up and brought her down to their amazing facilities in Memphis. She begins her chemo tonight and will remain there for the next 3-4 months undergoing the intense treatment she needs to fight off this nasty disease! As of now, we’re told that the aftercare treatment should be another 2-1/2 years but “hopefully” that will all be at home in Missouri.
We thank God that St. Jude‘s takes care of the medical cost while she’s there and we are equally thankful for the tremendous support and all of the prayers from everyone. Please keep them coming!
As most of you know, the unprecedented year of 2020 took a serious toll on a lot of families in a variety of different ways. Because of the financial strain in particular that has had them in the same boat as a lot of the rest of us, we’ve decided to start a “GoFundMe” on their behalf with the hopes that they won’t have to worry about any kind of bills/finances whatsoever right now, and their sole focus can be on being strong for Halle! We understand that times are hard for everyone right now but any and every contribution made will be greatly appreciated and never forgotten!
The goal that we’ve set is based solely off of their family’s cost-of-living for 120 days. By then, God willing, she will be back at home and back to her beautiful energetic self!
