Halima is my older sister, a devoted 41-year-old mother of three—her 14-year-old son and two daughters, ages 10 and 8. She has always been a source of strength and love for her family, but now she is facing the toughest battle of her life: metastatic breast cancer. After her initial treatment at Shaukat Khanum Hospital in Pakistan, we learned that the cancer had spread to her bones, making her need for urgent and ongoing care even more critical.

Halima and her husband have had to leave their home in Afghanistan and travel to Pakistan in search of life-saving treatment. This journey has been incredibly hard, especially since her children are still in Afghanistan, separated from their mother during such a difficult time. The costs of medical care and travel are overwhelming, and our family cannot manage them alone.
