Help Haley & Tanner with Ellie’s recovery!

A week before Haley gave birth, her dog that she has had for 7 years was bit by her neighbors dog through their shared fence. She was outside when it happened and it was honestly one of the most traumatic things she has seen, her jaw was hanging off her face. The jaw was broken in three spots and she had to have 22 teeth removed. There were two surgeries they could do for her, one was a plate in her mouth and the other one was wires holding the bones together. They ended up going with the wire surgery because of how much cheaper it was going to be. Four days after her surgery, and a week after the attack, Haley went into labor early. It has now been six weeks since her surgery and at her check up the vet decided to remove the wire because it was causing her pain. The surgery didn’t have the results they thought because the bones did not end up healing properly. She now has her jaw still hanging significantly low. She’s lost weight due to not knowing how to eat. With a newborn and four other animals they are having a hard time figuring out how to take care of a now disabled dog. Her mouth has been shaking and she will yelp in pain. We are learning that we absolutely need to get the plate so that she can have the best life going forward. We spoke with the vet and for the plate surgery it will be another $3000-3500. Any support is appreciated!
