Hey, everyone!
My name is Haley Fuchs and I am a 22-year-old singer, songwriter, and musician. For as long as I can remember, I have been in love with music. I love music so much I could live in it. I have been singing for my entire life; my very first performance taking place when I was only 6 years old. I began writing my own songs by the age of 9, performing regularly by the age of 10, and composing my own music by the age of 17. I have been posting videos of myself singing online for roughly 12 years and I have auditioned in numerous cities and states for televised singing competitions for the past 7 years. Some of my most notable accomplishments in music include singing at the LA County Fair, performing for two consecutive years at my former university’s (Southern Methodist University) annual Christmas ceremony in front of a multi-thousand audience, and attracting nearly 300,000 views on my YouTube channel. I have dedicated my life to making a name for myself in the music industry, endlessly motivated and confidently assured that I could do this.
Recently, I have been given a wonderful, potentially life-changing, opportunity. I am currently working alongside Jason Mater, who is an incredibly accomplished producer, to put together an EP. EP stands for “Extended Play,” which is essentially a few songs put together to create a “mini album. ” Jason used to work with Capitol Records and now works with Disney Music Group. Capitol Records!!! Disney Music Group!!! He has worked with renowned artists such as Paul McCartney, Stevie Wonder, Eminem, Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, The Goo Goo Dolls, and many more. He even has a song that plays inside Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at Disneyland! (Shameless plug: check out “Batuu Boogie” by Jason, under his Disney alias Chaka Mater Laka.) Working with a talented individual such as Jason has been nothing short of a dream come true. With the help of Jason, I will record 5 songs for an EP at a brilliant studio in Los Angeles, California. It means everything to me that he is willing to dedicate himself in the same capacity to bring my music to life.
Additionally, I am working alongside some of my closest friends who have generously offered to help me write music for this EP. We have already begun writing multiple songs and we are working diligently to develop an overall theme for the EP, as well as to determine the sound I am going for. I will post regular updates to show our progress across all my social media accounts (Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, and YouTube). If you’d like to follow along with our creative process, I can guarantee there will not be a shortage of updates!
However, despite all of this—dedicating my life to succeed in the music industry, working with an established producer, and collaborating with talented friends—I am not yet finished. I am not yet finished because I still need help. Specifically, I need help from you. Thank you for already dedicating your time and attention to my journey as an artist, and thank you for your support with which I use to keep going. But as I mentioned, I need help from you to make this happen. If you could, I ask that you please donate to my campaign and enable the creation of my EP. Any amount donated will make a tremendous impact on this journey and I would appreciate your support with every part of me. After crunching the numbers and creating a budget for the EP, the money I hope to raise will be enough to cover studio costs, production fees, tracking, engineering, mixing, mastering, and finally sharing my music with the world. Our goal is to start working on this project as soon as possible, so the sooner we reach our goal, the better!
