Hi everyone! My name is Haleigh. I am about to start an exciting and honestly, terrifying new chapter as a first time college student. I am completely on my own with no family financial support or college fund. I will be the very first person in my family to attend and graduate from college, a milestone that means everything to me. While federal financial aid helps, it only covers a small fraction of my actual tuition, fees, and school supplies.

My Journey & daily challenges - Balancing work, bills, and school is a heavy daily juggle. I currently work part time as a nanny to cover my living expenses while trying to keep my focus entirely on my full time studies. Doing this completely alone without a safety net is overwhelming, but I am determined to earn my degree without sinking into student loan debt!

My Goals for the Future - I have a deep passion for justice and helping others find answers during their hardest moments. My educational roadmap includes Step 1: Graduate from Columbus State Community College with a two year undergraduate. Step 2: Transfer to The Ohio State University to major in Criminology and Forensic Science. Step 3: Graduate and be a meaningful part of, not only society but the forensic community and bring people the answers and closure they deserve.

Career Dreams: I want to work in crime scene photography or forensic analytics. I also considering law school! I am reaching out to my community to help bridge the financial gap so I can focus on my education and achieve my dreams.
