Help Hale Survive Thyroid Cancer
Hi, most people know me as Austin, but I've been going by Hale recently. What you call me isn't nearly as important as what I need your help with.
It started in November 2019. I had a Pulmonary Embolism (blood clot in lung) with no indication of where it originated from. No one really bothered to ask questions about where it came from, the source was never located.
Until December 2020. I had severe chest pains, exactly synonymous with a heart attack. It ended up being something unrelated but nonetheless terrifying--but what I saw on my own results troubled me enough to contact my doctor and request an ultrasound of my thyroid.
There were three nodules, two were biopsied a week later, one was discovered to have cancerous cells in it.
I need help quickly, we don't know my prognosis, we don't know much of ANYTHING about the cancer in my thyroid. I'm having a complete Thyroidectomy on February 4th and I need this money by February 2nd--Tuesday morning.
I do not have health insurance. I do not have a job, because I couldn't cope with my job and everything else going on. I'm trying to figure out applying for Medicaid but both jobs that have been requested employment documents to be signed have been dragging their feet with even beginning the process--a simple callback.
I've been struggling to survive the last 2 weeks since quitting my job. I've been calling, I've been keeping on top of things, but nothing is getting done and this surgery CANNOT wait.
Please I'm begging, I need help desperately. I'm terrified of what is going to happen to me, because my fatigue and my health has been going downhill very quickly since October.
I'm in desperate need of help. The amount I have to have by Tuesday morning is $2040 for them to complete the surgery, I'm putting $3000 currently because of the fact that I didn't hear back from the hospital financial department today about how much I owe them up front or if I can be billed later/apply for assistance.
I don't want to die.
