Help Hala's Family

Donation protected
Hala was a young Palestinian girl with Systemic Diffuse Scleroderma. This rare autoimmune disorder can lead to a thickening of the skin, can effect the digestive system, and breathing. In severe cases such as Hala's, it can damage internal organs. Although there is no cure, it is a condition that can be managed; However, not under the genocidal conditions Hala's family is experiencing in occupied Palestine. There is extremely limited access to necessities like food, shelter, and water, let alone medical services.

Thus, tragically on Sept 1st, 2025 Hala passed away waiting for medical care. She waited in the hospital for hours but there was not enough to staff or room to accommodate her. Hala also had a referral and medical documentation for urgent evacuation from Palestine but was not evacuated in time.

This tragedy comes four years after her brother Ahmed passed from the same condition after a missile landed near his families home, causing his heart to stop. For the last 15 years, this family has had lacked healthcare under siege and they have lost two children because of it.

Ahmed and Hala's family no longer have them or a home. But they still have three other children to feed and are displaced, living in a tent and spending hours waiting for food.

As the cost of living is extremely high, your donations will help provide Hala's family with the food, water, tents, and clothes needed for their survival.

Hala's family still needs help. Please support them to rebuild and survive.

My name is Danielle and I am living on the West Coast of Canada. I first became aware of Hala's situation when at University. My classmates and I ran a fundraiser in our community to raise money to support Hala. Ever since, I have been in contact with Raed who updated me on how our donated money was used and on Hala's condition. Since Hala's passing, a new fund-raising link is needed to continue this families support in her honour.
