WHAT HAPPENED:
In early November in rural Haiti, more than 110 orphaned children and their staff woke up to gunfire, chaos, and the loss of the only home they had. Armed gangs overtook their community, forcing the children and caregivers of Feed My Lambs—an orphanage and school operating for almost 20 years—to flee for their lives with almost no warning.
Haiti is facing one of the worst humanitarian crises in decades, layered on top of years of poverty, natural disasters, political instability, and repeated setbacks that have left people with almost no resources to fall back on. Today, armed gangs control much of the country, police presence has collapsed, food and fuel prices have doubled, and basic travel is dangerous. For children without parents, this crisis is life-threatening. They have no relatives to take them in, no safety net, and no government support.
The children are now scattered across temporary shelters hours away—safe for the moment, but living with hunger, fear, constant uncertainty, and no schooling. Because the children are vulnerable, their most basic needs now come at a steep and sometimes exploitative cost. One landlord immediately doubled the rent on one of their only shelters, from $3,000 to $6,000 a month. Emergency expenses for food, clean water, shelter, and transportation have surged to nearly $20,000 each month, an impossible burden for Feed My Lambs to sustain alone.
At Feed My Lambs Orphanage and School, over 10,000 children have been educated. Many hundreds have been rescued from the streets, some as young as 3 months old.
These children have no parents, no permanent home, and no way to protect themselves.
But they are not alone—not if we stand with them.
HOW WE'RE HELPING:
We are raising $250,000 to keep them fed, housed, and safe for the next year as Haiti’s crises escalate. 100% of every dollar goes directly to the children and caregivers who have already endured more than anyone ever should.

Before the violence, children had:
- A school serving more than 700 local students
- Housing for over 60 orphaned children
- A medical and dental clinic providing essential care
- A library and learning center filled with Creole, French, and English books
- A sewing and vocational training program
- Gardens and greenhouses providing food and sustainability
- A dedicated team of teachers, caregivers, and volunteers
$20,000 of EMERGENCY EXPENSES every month have created a burden on Feed My Lambs that never existed before. It could worsen in a heartbeat.

- $850/month — drinking & bathing water
- $4,400/month — fresh food
- $340/month — cooking gas
- $450/month — transportation for staff and supplies
- $6,530/month — sustaining wages for staff forced to replace teaching duties with ensuring the children's safety and survival
This is the reality the children are living in today—one they did not choose, and cannot survive without help.
Costs continue to rise due to gang activity, unsafe travel, and rent exploitation.
