Haitham is a nursing student in Gaza City, who has managed to survive with his family of 8 throughout the violence caused by Isra*el.

Unfortunately, on Thursday 19 June, Haitham was hit by a bomb while taking an exam for his nursing studies in a local internet hotspot. Our friend Thaer was martyred in the same strike. Haitham is now in critical condition in al-quds hospital in Tel al-Hawa and urgently needs brain surgery to remove the shrapnel from his brain. He has a fractured skull, front and back, and fragments inside his brain. He also has bone fragments in his intestines and abdomen. He has been awake, talking, and able to move his hands, but he is not in a stable condition. We are racing against time to get him into surgery before the shrapnel damages his brain or infection sets in.
