Help Hailey's Heart Surgery and Recovery

Donation protected
As some of you know our daughter Hailey was diagnosed with Turner’s syndrome February 2024. Turner syndrome, a condition that affects only females, results when one of the X chromosomes (sex chromosomes) is missing or partially missing. Hailey’s is fully missing and only has 1 X chromosome. Turner syndrome can cause a variety of medical and developmental problems, including short height, (which is why Hailey has not gotten any taller, failure of the ovaries to develop (there is a huge percentage she’ll never be able to conceive) and heart defects (which is why Hailey has to have surgery). Girls and women with Turner syndrome need ongoing medical care from a variety of specialists. Regular checkups and appropriate care can help most girls and women lead healthy, independent lives. With all the testing Hailey has had done a congenital heart defect was found resulting in her requiring open heart surgery. Next month (September) we will make our way to Salt Lake City for her open heart surgery and will be spending a minimum of 2 weeks there at least but possibly more depending on how Hailey’s body responds to treatment. The road to recovery is going to be a very tough one for our whole family, especially Hailey. Prayers would be greatly appreciated from all who can. Thank you!
