Hi, my name is Hailey, and I never imagined I would be in a position where I needed to ask for help like this.

About a year ago, I began facing serious health challenges that have now become long-term disabilities. Because of this, I am no longer able to work in my field as an Early Childhood Educator — a career I studied for and worked incredibly hard to build. Losing not only my income, but also the profession I was passionate about, has been heartbreaking.

Despite these setbacks, I am doing everything I can to move forward. I have returned to school to retrain for a new profession that better accommodates my health needs. I am determined to rebuild my future — but right now, I am facing significant financial hardship.

I am currently waiting for ODSP approval, which is expected to take another 3–6 months. Until that support begins, I have no stable source of income. On top of this, I am unexpectedly having to find new housing, adding moving costs and housing deposits to an already overwhelming situation.

I am seeking to raise money to help cover essential living expenses — rent, utilities, groceries — as well as necessary accessibility items that will help me manage my disabilities and maintain independence. This support would give me the stability I need to focus on my health and education instead of worrying about how I will get through the next few months.
