Help Hailey & Her Mom Rebuild After Their House Fire
Hi everyone,
My name is Hailey, and I’m creating this GoFundMe on behalf of myself, my mom, and our animals. On Saturday, November 22, our home caught fire. The living room and kitchen were destroyed, and even though the fire didn’t reach every room, the smoke and structural damage left the entire house unliveable.
The photo above was taken during the fire — firefighters working to save what they could as smoke poured out of the windows. Standing there watching our home burn and knowing our pets were inside was one of the most terrifying moments we’ve ever experienced. We’re incredibly grateful for the first responders who helped us, but the aftermath has left our family displaced and overwhelmed.
Where We Are Now
We’re currently without a stable place to stay, trying to manage temporary housing while keeping all of our animals safe and cared for. The emotional and financial pressure has been heavy, and we’re doing our best to navigate each day as it comes.
My mom is a full-time student, halfway through her Honours Haudenosaunee Language Program, a program she has worked so hard to be part of. This fire hasn’t just uprooted our home — it’s disrupted her education, her routine, and her ability to focus on something that means so much to her and our community.
What We Need Support With
Your support will go directly toward:
• Temporary housing while our home remains unliveable
• Replacing essentials lost in the fire
• Food, transportation, and daily living costs
• Supplies and care for our animals
• Supporting my mom so she can stay in school
• Basic household items we’ll need once we can return home
Why We’re Asking for Help
We’re not the type to ask for help lightly. This situation has put us in a position where we simply can’t do it all on our own. Every donation, no matter the size, genuinely helps us take one step closer to stability again. Even sharing this page means more than you know.
Thank you for taking the time to read our story and for supporting us during such a difficult time.
From our hearts — thank you.
Hailey & Mom
