My name is Hailey, and I’m reaching out for help after a difficult year with my car. I bought a 2011 Toyota Prius about a year ago, hoping it would be a reliable way to get to work and visit my family. Unfortunately, the car quickly developed major problems. The head gasket failed and the braking system became unsafe, leaving me with a vehicle I can’t trust to drive. To make matters worse, I’m stuck in negative equity from the purchase, so I can’t easily trade it in or sell it for something safer.

This situation has made daily life a real challenge. I can’t see my family considering they live hours away. I don’t know when my engine will fail completely, and I feel isolated without reliable transportation. I’m hoping to raise funds for a down payment on a safe, dependable car so I can regain my independence and return to my normal routine. Any support will help me move forward and get back on the road. I do also want to note that if my goal is not fully reached, I plan on using the money raised to further pay off my current car loan to try and combat my negative equity.
