Hades, has been diagnosed with a severe health issue that requires urgent surgical intervention to save his life and to prevent permanent paralyzation. Within 12 hours my dog couldn’t use his hind legs any longer. He’s only 5 years old and full of life. I got Hades when my dad came home and he has been a huge part of my family since then. Loved by my kids and literally anyone who walks in the house. He’s my big headed baby boy and I am, heartbroken at the thought of losing him. I am a single mom with 2 kids trying to just keep my head above water. I don’t know what I’ll do without Hades and there’s absolutely no way id be able to take care of a paralyzed dog on my own. Anything will help, sharing the post, donating, or just sending positive vibes and prayers.
Update: I am bringing Hades to an Philly animal hospital on 9/12 to be evaluated by a neurologist and the MRI is going to be 3500.
2nd update: He was seen by a neurologist and it could’ve been a stroke or it’s a herniated disc. The vet said he would definitely need an MRI to determine exactly what it is. Hades still has zero mobility in his hind legs and is now unable to hold his bladder. It’s going to be a tough road, but I refuse to give up.
3rd UPDATE: I’ve opted out of the MRI because I realistically can not afford a surgery even if I raise enough for it. Today he had reflexes in his hind leg while being scratched on his belly. He has wheels now and a ramp to get out of the house easier. He has an appointment for physical therapy on the 30th which is 250 for the initial consult. Then 6-12 weeks long at 125 per visit. Its going to be a long road to recovery but I’m buckled in and ready for the ride.
