Hi, I'm Kendall Gardner - I live in London, UK, and I'm helping Hadeel Wael fundraise for her family in Gaza. I met Hadeel in May 2024 after one of my interviews from the Oxford student encampment went viral. We've been messaging every day since then, and I've helped her family with bank transfers throughout the genocide. Unfortunately, their previous GoFundMe is closing down because the owner of the bank account cannot transfer the funds to Palestine successfully. My bank account has so far allowed me to make these transfers, so Hadeel and her family have asked me to raise the funds until we can figure out another solution. Funds donated here will go to my UK bank account, which I transfer to Hadeel on a regular basis to her Islamic Bank of Palestine Account. Hi,

I'm Hadeel Wael from Gaza. I am 22 years old.

I write to you after a lot of through and hesitation but my hope to save my family's life gave me the courage to ask you for urgent help in evacuating my family from Gaza to a safe place.

We are living in the az-Zawaydah area of central Gaza, near Deir al-Balah. We were displaced from our home in Gaza City in the first months of the genocide, which was fully destroyed by the Israeli occupation.

We suffer from illness, cold, hunger, and drinking contaminated water for more than 400 days.

Our house had 12 people, and now we were all homeless, living together in tents. My brother was shot by an israeli sniper in the leg, and we have been using funds raised from GoFundMe to pay for surgeries needed to save his life. My sister has severe burns all over her body and has been in the hospital suffering from them and digestive illness.

I am a student in my final year of pharmacy at Al-Azhar University. I take my exams and study from my phone in my tent. I am trying to graduate and get my degree, even despite the horrible conditions. I hope to become a pharmacist, as it is my passion. I have been doing very well on my exams, and I hope to continue my studies.

Please help us to raise money to survive. We use the funds from the GoFundMe to pay for essential food, medicine, and shelter. Eventually, we want to use the money to rebuild our family's house and buy a car, as both were bombed and destroyed by the occupation.
