Hachiko is a male puppy, less than a year old, weighing approximately 55 pounds. He is located in Miami, Florida, and urgently needs a loving forever home.
Currently, we are raising funds to help speed up Hachiko’s acceptance into a shelter, as local shelters are over capacity and lack the monetary resources to support their vital work. These donations will help ensure they can cover Hachiko’s expenses while also supporting other dogs in similar situations.
If we are able to place Hachiko directly into a loving home before he is accepted into a shelter, all donations will be given to the Humane Society of Greater Miami to support their important mission. Any support you can offer would mean the world to Hachiko and those working tirelessly to help him.
Hachiko’s Story
Hachiko’s story began on New Year’s Day when he ran into our building during the fireworks, scared and searching for safety. With no tag or microchip and nowhere safe for him to go, our lobby attendant kept him in a utility room overnight to protect him.
The next morning, when we heard about Hachiko, we decided to step in and help. We took him to the vet, where it was confirmed that he had no microchip. Seeing his poor condition, we, along with our neighbors, gave him a bath and carefully removed the fleas. Determined to give him the best chance at finding a permanent home, we also took him to the Humane Society of Greater Miami, where he was fully vaccinated:
- Rabies (1 Year)
- DA2PP (booster due in 3-4 weeks)
- Bordetella (1 Year)
- Heartworm Test (Negative)
Hachiko is a very friendly and social pup who loves to play with dogs of all sizes. He has a gentle, easygoing nature and is now healthy, vaccinated, and ready to bring joy to a family willing to give him the love and care he deserves.
If you or someone you know can offer Hachiko a forever home or would like to contribute to his care, please reach out. Your help could make all the difference in giving this sweet pup the fresh start he deserves.
