My name is Behailu Tsegaye Mengistu, and I am fundraising on behalf of Habtamu Taye (a family friend), a 14-year-old 9th grade student from Addis Ababa Ethiopia who is fighting a severe heart disease. He is currently diagnosed with Chronic Rheumatic Valvular heart disease (Server Mitral Stenosis, server eccentric MR, moderate AR and primary severe TR) with severe Pulmonary Hypertension).

Doctors have given him hope of recovery if he gets immediate treatment, which is open heart surgery for Mitral Valve Replacement (MVR) at Elouzeir cardiac center in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.

The surgical and follow up costs are significant which his family can not afford, so we are asking everyone for financial support to help save his life. Please help with whatever you can to give this young boy a chance to live.
