My name is Habib. I am 25 years old. I am
A Palestinian from Gaza. I write this to portray the current situation in Gaza through my eyes. I have personally experienced the fear and horror of wars while living here, and I cannot even explain how terrifying and dangerous it is to experience that when we are supposed to live a normal life like everyone else. last . I live in Gaza under rockets, bombing and air strikes. We had to evacuate due to the extremely painful conditions caused by the bombing and shooting in Gaza. The constant threat of bombs and violence made it impossible for us to stay, and I needed to look for a refugee elsewhere. We are now seeking shelter in a small dye under terrible living conditions full of hunger, extreme cold and health related diseases, and are unable to get anything but uncontaminated water which can threaten our lives due to weak immune systems. I have had a wonderful life with my family and friends. My family's house was damaged, and we won't be able to live in it without it being repaired. The university where I was studying was bombed and reduced to rubble. I can no longer complete my studies and must wait for it to be rebuilt. My family and I seek a chance to survive – a chance to escape the horrific conditions of war and conflict to build a future full of promise, safety and hope. This is not just a call for help; It is a call for collective compassion and solidarity. Living in constant fear and uncertainty and not knowing if you will still be alive tomorrow is a burden that no human being can live with. Imagine losing everything you own, your source of income, your people. This is the reality for me and my family. Our dreams of a peaceful future have been shattered, but hope remains
To escape this war, each family member must pay $5,000 to be added to the departure lists at the Rafah border crossing.
